About The Historical Building Doğan:
Entering the magnificent Doğan Building, the colorful atmosphere of the lively Serdar-ı Ekrem Street gives way to the unexpected serenity and the refreshing feeling of the 400 sqm landscaped courtyard.
The land was initially owned by the Prussian Embassy. It was after it passed to the Helbig Family, that the building was constructed under the influence of Italian architecture in 1984. When it changed hands in 1919, it was known as “Botton Inn” for a while and when sold again, it was called “Victoria Inn”.
The current name of the building was given by Kazım Taskent, one of the building's later owners, in memory of his son Doğan Taskent.
